Northern Strands is growing, and we're on the lookout for a passionate, detail-driven Inside Sales Representative for our Regina location. This position's primary responsibilities are completing order desk transactions, answering customer inquiries, and providing information regarding the organization's goods and services. A friendly professional demeanor is required for direct in-person sales, as well as phone sales. Northern Strands is a proud Saskatchewan-based company known for our innovation, integrity, and deep ties to the communities we serve.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Complete customer orders accurately and in a timely manner, while providing the highest level of customer service
• Assist customers by researching requests and working to locate exact or similar goods and materials that meet the customers requirements
• Provide quotes to customers and follow-up to ensure orders are filled 
• Complete weekly expediting reports to track quotes, orders, and purchases
• Assist the Outside Sales team, when requested, with pricing, placing orders, providing customer feedback, sharing new customer leads, etc. 
• Display professional and courteous attitude to all customers, both internal and external
• Record amounts of material or items received or distributed via tracking system
• Maintain documents, files, and records for the purpose of documenting activities and providing reliable resource information
• Respond to inquiries of internal staff for the purpose of providing information and/or direction regarding the status of available goods, deliveries, etc. 
• Other related duties as assigned

 What You Bring to the Table

• Minimum Grade 12 education, with secondary schooling considered an asset
• 2+ years work experience in a similar role would be preferred
• Experience in sourcing and purchasing goods and materials would be considered an asset
• Knowledge and previous experience using Sage 300 or other inventory/sale software would be considered an asset
• Certificates related to mining or construction would be considered an asset
• Ability to build customer relations and maintain customer confidence
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

• Strong ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing

• Able to handle competing priorities simultaneously; work well under pressure with time-sensitive deadlines
• Possess a positive and professional work attitude
• Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience, that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities for the position
