NSGC is currently accepting applications for Field Services Project Administrator – Summer Student for the months of May to August 2026. Our diverse Group of Companies consists of Northern Strands, Fortis Mining, Engineering, & Manufacturing, and Certified Sales & Rentals comprising 14 divisions ranging from rigging/lifting products, fall protection, suspended access, agri-business field services and safety training to mining site services, fabrication, rentals, repairs, testing and recertification. What You’ll Be Doing
- Offer administrative and operational support to the Project Coordinator/Manager with a variety of project-related tasks including but not limited to:
- Daily reports, material requisition, and progress tracking
- Project pre-mobilization activities
- Project closeout duties such as compilation of turnover packages and project postmortems
- Maintaining the customer annual inspection database by issuing notices, quotations, compiling and issuing inspection information from field to Engineering Department
- E-file all documents for electronic storage and easy lookup
- Assist with setup and ongoing maintenance of filing systems
- Collaborate with various project groups to identify and deliver specific project requirements
- To deal courteously with customers, vendors and all other coworkers, displaying a professional conduct and appearance
- Perform other duties as assigned
What You Bring to the Table
- Ability to commence full-time (40 hours/week) work from the beginning of May until the end of August 2026
- Preference will be given to candidates who are at least in their second year of Engineering studies or Business students with a strong interest in project management
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) is considered an asset
- Ability to understand and follow directions
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbal
- Ability to handle competing priorities simultaneously
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to work well alone or in a team setting
- Possess a positive and professional attitude, set a high standard, and convey professionalism at all times
